VibeMe

Privacy policy

A plain-language account of the information involved in using VibeMe.

Website and waitlist

Beta registration asks for your email address and explicit permission to contact you about early access. You may optionally provide a preferred username and a short description of what interests you about VibeMe. A signup does not reserve a username or create an app account. The form includes a hidden anti-spam field and limits repeated submissions.

Hosting and service infrastructure may process technical request information, such as network addresses, browser information and errors. When enabled in hosting settings, website analytics records page views and events such as navigation and successful beta registration. Custom events do not include email addresses, usernames or form answers. Custom tracking respects the browser Do Not Track signal. Infrastructure logging is separate.

The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts that service to retrieve font files and may send technical request information to it.

Information in the app

Account registration and profile setup involve information you enter, such as your email, username, profile details, photos and favorite titles. The app also processes shelves, posts, follows, likes, ratings and reports you submit.

Your saved personal titles, likes, ratings and selected interests are used to produce recommendations. Adding a title to a collaborative shelf is not, by itself, treated as every collaborator’s personal preference.

Visibility and sharing

Shelf controls include public, private and friends-only audiences. Friends means mutual follows. Collaborative editing uses invitations that recipients accept. An invitation is not permission to see unrelated private profile content.

Public posts, profiles and shelves can be seen or shared by others. Think before including personal information in content you publish. Changing a setting cannot recall screenshots or copies another person already made.

Service providers and external catalogs

The app uses Clerk for authentication and Supabase for app data. The marketing waitlist uses a separate database. Hosting, storage and catalog services also process information necessary to deliver their functions.

Catalog searches may send search terms and title identifiers to external providers. Opening an official listening or other external service link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. VibeMe does not provide full music streaming.

Local storage and account controls

The app uses local storage for preferences and session-related behavior. Unfinished signup title and interest choices can be recovered temporarily for the same email. That recovery does not store passwords or demographic fields and is cleared on completion or sign-out.

You can change your profile and shelf audiences in the app, manage blocked accounts in Settings, and start account deletion from Settings. Deletion has confirmation steps and may need to be retried if a service is unavailable; do not assume it finished without confirmation.

Retention, requests and policy changes

Contact support@getvibeme.com for waitlist removal, access or deletion requests and other privacy questions. Include only what is necessary to locate your registration; never send passwords or verification codes. Requests may require identity verification. Retention periods, response procedures and legal exceptions require operator review.

The operator must review this notice against actual vendor settings, international data processing, applicable law and future product changes before treating it as the final privacy policy.
