Different taste is welcome. Harmful behavior is not.
Disagree about the work, not someone’s worth
Criticism, unpopular opinions and discussion belong here. Threats, targeted harassment, hate and dehumanizing attacks do not. Do not organize others to pile onto a person.
Respect boundaries and privacy
Do not share another person’s private details, intimate material or private conversations without permission. Respect blocks and shelf audiences. Do not evade someone’s attempt to stop contact.
Protect minors and vulnerable people
Sexual exploitation, grooming and sexual content involving minors are not allowed. Do not encourage self-harm, violence or dangerous exploitation. Use reporting tools for concerns and local emergency services for immediate danger.
Be honest and respect creators
Do not impersonate people, run scams, spam users or manipulate engagement. Share only images, text and other material you have the right to use. A catalog listing is not permission to upload a film, game, album or book.
Make reviews useful
Keep reviews connected to the title or topic. Give spoiler warnings when appropriate. Do not use reviews or collaborative shelves to target another person or disclose private information.
Report problems; allow room for review
Use the report action on the relevant post or profile. Moderation uses rules and human review, and context matters. Decisions can be mistaken; use an available review option rather than retaliating or creating another account to bypass restrictions.
